IM Free has changed substantially from the resource described in the original 2022 list; its current destination focuses on a current design-resource site for textures, overlays, clipart, letters, backgrounds, mockups, and related packs. The original list described it this way: “Free Website Templates, Free Images & More.”
Best uses
IM Free is most relevant for design resources, textures, backgrounds, clipart, craft graphics, and mockup elements rather than conventional photography. Search by the subject, orientation, visual style, and required output size rather than choosing an image only because it is free.
Licensing and commercial-use considerations
The old “IM Free” identity and URL no longer describe the current site. WDRFREE states broad personal and commercial use, but verify each pack’s page and terms, especially for redistribution, templates, or resale.
“Royalty-free” does not automatically mean no-cost, public domain, or unrestricted. Copyright permission also does not necessarily clear trademarks, artwork, private property, publicity rights, or a recognizable person’s likeness.
What to check before downloading

- Confirm whether attribution, modification, an extended license, or an account is required.
