Pixabay is most relevant for general website imagery, multimedia projects, backgrounds, illustrations, and projects that benefit from several media types in one search. Search by the subject, orientation, visual style, and required output size rather than choosing an image only because it is free.

Pixabay uses its own Content License. It permits many personal and commercial uses but has restrictions, including standalone resale and some uses involving recognizable brands or people.
